Objectives
The Edith Maryon AG (a joint-stock company) located in Basel is a one hundred percent subsidiary of the Edith Maryon Foundation and is committed to the same principles. Its primary goal is to permanently remove plots of land or properties from speculation and to use them in a socially responsible manner.
In 2015, the Foundation transferred most of its real estate in Switzerland and property management to the Edith Maryon AG. This enabled tax exemption to be granted for gifts and bequests to the Edith Maryon Foundation. None of the real estate belonging to the Edith Maryon AG, as well as the real estate and the land belonging to the Foundation, can be sold. All shares of the Edith Maryon AG belong to the Edith Maryon Foundation, and one member of the Executive Board sits on the Board of Directors of the joint-stock company.
